James W. France, Jr

OIF Managing Member and Founder, Chairman of the Board/CEO of Financial Investor Insurance Corporation (FIIC).
In 1970, Mr. France was licensed as an underwriter for the Penn Mutual Insurance Company, specializing in corporate financial planning. During this period, he also became a licensed securities representative with Greater Delaware Securities, Inc. and Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company. From middle 1970’s through 1983 Mr. France established several small businesses in the field of advertising media, technology, and computer equipment leasing and formed a joint venture project with 3M Company to develop an array of electronic media markets with sales reaching $5 million annually. During this tenure, Jim managed and established operations in 42 U.S. cities and set long-term leases with common carriers, property owners and developed ad campaigns for clients.

In 1985 Jim served on the Board of Directors of Digiboard International, a supplier of computer communication boards to the computer industry with sales of $200 million in annual revenue. In 1987, he was named President of PMC Corp., an affiliate of Broad Street Corporation, a venture capital firm. PMC invested in small first and second stage business ventures in Delaware. Between 1988 and 1996, Mr. France became President and Chief Executive Officer for Scriptel Corporation, a public company that developed an electronic interface (digitizer) for what are today’s pen computers.

Mr. France has more than 30 years hands-on experience in executive management, marketing, technology, advertising, finance, real estate, leasing, international business development, project startups, acquisitions, sales, insurance, public relations, and manufacturing.
